Healthy Boundaries through Neuro-developmental Lens- Practical, Relational Approaches for Primary Teachers

Online

Participants will be given an overview of the term 'boundaries', exploring the difference between healthy boundaries and those that may be shaming/ negatively impact on children. A neuro-developmental lens will be used to convey the various needs of primary school children when it comes to boundaries.

Practical ways to set boundaries will be outlined with examples that will cover a wide range of ages and presenting behaviours. Emphasis will be placed on setting boundaries in a relational way rather than using fear based strategies.

Participants will be equipped with strategies for holding and maintaining boundaries in the classroom that are child centred, research based and proven to increase co-operation, esteem and autonomy in children.

Mastering the SET Timetable: Practical Strategies, Programmes & Resources

In this practical webinar, Elaine and Fiona explore the complex balancing act that is SET timetabling.
These experienced SETs will give practical tips on timetabling a mix of groups, individuals and in-class support times. 

The main topic will be a deep dive into a variety of programmes, playful approaches and materials that are essential for teaching our pupils with Additional Educational Needs.
These will come with a padlet full of resources and links to support your work in the role of SET.
