Muireann Sadlier is a Special School Teacher who has worked in inner city post-primary and DEIS settings in Limerick city. She has completed a postgraduate study in SEN at St Patrick's, Drumcondra as well as the postgraduate diploma in SEN in Mary Immaculate College, where she completed her Masters (MSEN). This study examined communication & behaviour from the perspective of special needs education. She was seconded to the SESS for 4 years and subsequently to the NCSE for just under four years. In these roles she wrote and delivered seminars for education settings on literacy for the special school, numeracy for the special school, working with non verbal pupils, adapting and differentiating the curriculum for pupils with varied learning profiles, managing challenging behaviour, yoga & mindfulness in the school setting and wellbeing in the school setting. Currently she delivers bespoke training to support staff & parents in understanding the precise needs of the neurodiverse child, adolescent and young adult.
